Equipping Qom’s Rural Libraries with Donated Books

IBNA News Agency – The General Directorate of Public Libraries of Qom province has announced the distribution of more than 2,500 donated books to rural libraries across the province.

According to the Iranian Book News Agency (IBNA), this initiative is part of a broader plan to enhance the reading culture and provide equitable access to knowledge and information for residents in remote and underserved areas.

Mohammad Mohtashami, the Director-General of Qom Public Libraries, stated: “The donated books cover a wide range of subjects including literature, history, science, and children’s books, ensuring that diverse interests and age groups are catered for.”

He added: “Equipping rural libraries is a crucial step towards fostering intellectual development and strengthening the role of libraries as vibrant community centers, where villagers can access educational and recreational resources.”
