Rural Libraries in Qom Equipped with Book Donations

The General Directorate of Public Libraries of Qom Province announced that rural public libraries in Qom have been equipped and enhanced through the donation of books.

According to the Iran Book and Literature House News Agency (IBNA) from Qom, Zahra Ganji, the expert in cultural and planning affairs of the General Directorate of Public Libraries of Qom Province, stated: “In line with the efforts to promote reading and provide access to cultural resources in deprived and rural areas, book donation initiatives play a vital role in enriching library collections.”

She added: “In the past week, with the cooperation of benevolent individuals and cultural institutions, more than 500 volumes of books in various fields, including children’s and adolescent literature, religious books, history, and novels, were donated to rural public libraries in Qom. These donations have significantly contributed to increasing the variety and quality of resources available to rural residents.”

Ganji emphasized that strengthening rural libraries is one of the main priorities of the General Directorate of Public Libraries of Qom Province. She concluded: “This action provides better services to library members in rural areas and encourages more people to join libraries.”
