Givaran Ghotour Village Now Has a Library
The remote village of Givaran Ghotour in West Azerbaijan Province has proudly announced the establishment of its first public library. This initiative marks a significant step towards increasing literacy and providing access to knowledge for the local community, especially children and young adults.
The new library, a collaborative effort between local authorities, cultural organizations, and community volunteers, is equipped with a diverse collection of books, including educational materials, children’s literature, and general interest titles. Its opening was met with enthusiasm from residents, who see it as a vital resource for personal and collective development.
During the inauguration ceremony, local officials highlighted the importance of promoting reading in rural areas to bridge the educational gap and foster intellectual growth. They expressed hope that the library would become a vibrant cultural hub, hosting reading clubs, storytelling sessions, and other community-building activities.
The establishment of the Givaran Ghotour library is part of a broader national effort to expand public library networks and enhance access to information and cultural resources in underserved regions across Iran.
