Fars Province has announced a significant acceleration in its library development projects, with new initiatives aimed at expanding access to books and fostering a robust reading culture across the region.

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), these accelerated projects include the construction of new public libraries, renovation of existing facilities, and the implementation of advanced digital library systems. The provincial cultural authorities are committed to enhancing literary infrastructure.

The Director-General of Public Libraries of Fars Province stated that the goal is to make libraries more accessible and appealing to all segments of society, particularly children and young adults. Programs will be introduced to encourage community engagement, such as reading clubs, cultural workshops, and literary events.

Emphasis is also placed on diversifying library collections, ensuring they include a wide range of genres, educational materials, and digital resources to meet the varied interests and needs of the public. Training for librarians is a key component to improve service quality.
