Givaran Qatur village acquired a library
The residents of Givaran Qatur, a remote village in the Qatur district of West Azerbaijan province, are celebrating the establishment of their first public library.
This cultural initiative, which received support from both local government bodies and enthusiastic volunteers, aims to significantly boost literacy rates and foster a reading culture within the community.
The library, housed in a renovated public building, offers a diverse collection of books, including educational materials, children’s literature, and recreational reading for all ages.
Local officials expressed their hope that the new library will serve as a central hub for intellectual development and community engagement, providing access to knowledge that was previously limited.
Future plans include organizing reading circles, storytelling sessions for children, and digital literacy workshops to maximize the library’s impact.
